David Wu, D-Ore., who was elected to Congress in 1998 as the first Chinese-American to serve in the House, announced his resignation July 26, 2011, following allegations he engaged in “aggressive and unwanted sexual behavior” with a woman who is reportedly the teen of a longtime friend and campaign donor.

The veteran lawmaker says he will not run for re-election next year.
